Human Resources award
On 4 September 2007, Mater private hospitals Brisbane and Redland won two state awards for People Management and Human Resources (HR) Leadership Consultants at the 2007 Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) Awards for Excellence.
In the category of People Management, Mater private hospitals Brisbane and Redland were nominated for the Welcome Program—the induction and formation program for new employees.
In the category of HR Leadership–Consultants, Dulise Maxwell was nominated for her role as Corporate Coach and HR/Organisational Development (OD) Consultant.
Mater Private Hospital Executive Director, Don Murray said the awards represented Mater’s commitment to high standards of performance, leadership and innovation.
“The People Management and Leadership awards recognise a measurable contribution from our HR department by engaging Mater employees in strategically developing their future, aligning them with the hospital’s vision, mission, values and goals, and making them feel welcome and valued,” Mr Murray said.
“Congratulations to Dulise for her contribution to the culture in our hospitals and to all who have assisted, presented and contributed to the monthly Welcome Program during the last couple of years.”
The AHRI Awards for Excellence promote professional standards by recognising individuals and organisations that have achieved business results through sound HR practice. The awards also identify and reward people managers who have contributed to sustainable competitive advantage through leadership and innovation.
