New Kids in Mind private service

Mater Kids in Mind has recently launched Kids in Mind Private, a service that provides assessments and evidence based interventions to address issues including anxiety, depression, substance misuse and family conflict.

Providing critical community care for young people and families in need, Kids in Mind Private can:

• assist General Practitioners through the implementation of Mental Health Care Plans
• develop and implement Psychiatric Assessment and Management Plans
• deliver best practice therapeutic interventions
• help parents, families, children and young people understand what’s happening for them.

Kids in Mind Private exists as a private multidisciplinary practice that addresses the emotional and psychological needs of children, young people and their families, providing high quality care through a team of experienced professionals.

Different levels of service are available including assessment only or a combination of assessment and therapy with private practitioner services provided by experienced mental health professionals.

Fees are set by each practitioner, with eligible patients able to access private health insurance and Medicare rebates on a referral basis. Kids in Mind Private is committed to the provision of service guided by Mater’s core values and philosophy.
