Expanding bed numbers

Mater Children’s Private Hospital (MCPH) recently built five new inpatient beds for an expanded service, which opened in January 2008.

Addressing the public’s need for increased bed space, the additions will help ease pressure issues and aid in the provision of continued high quality care for children of all ages.

The 5 extra beds means the hospital now offers 66 private inpatient beds, including the previous 6-bed high observation area for acute care patients. MCPH also includes 15-day surgery beds.
