Mater Children's Hospitals

Mater Children’s Hospitals (MCH) provide both public and private health care services for children from Queensland and northern New South Wales in a family focussed environment.

A major tertiary referral centre, the hospital has an intensive care unit (ICU), theatres, inpatient and outpatient services, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Each year, more than 15,000 children are cared for as inpatients by the MCHs. The outpatients department sees more than 120,000 children per year, and more than 32,000 children receive care in the emergency department, which is the busiest paediatric emergency department in Queensland.
